Can someone say oink

I am now in Fussen, which is in the foot of the German Alps. Tomorrow I will be heading straight into the warzone that is Oktoberfest. Even as close as the middle of Switzerland two days ago, I was seeing women and girls in white blouses and maidenly dresses with braids, and men in lederhosen and felthats. This festival is certainly churning out some raucous crowds.

Anyways, in preparation for Oktoberfest, I thought I'd seek out something healthy tonight seeing as all I've eaten since hitting Germany is:

1) Wienerschnitzel with french fries
2) Liver ball soup
3) A liver meatloaf for lunch today, with sauerkraut
4) Bavarian Sausages with sauerkraut and boiled potatoes
5) Apple Strudel
6) Rolls and hard boiled eggs for breakfast
7) and Beer

You can imagine what eating like this does to your stomach, not to mention switching cuisines about every two days. So, I went in search of some healthy salad or veggie dish. Instead I got this! Yes, that is a roasted pork leg with sauerkraut and potato glue, also known as a potato dumpling. This was may be the worst treachery I could have committed to my stomach...ever! But, it was absolutely delicious, as has been every piece of meat since I landed in German country. I'm pretty sure that huge slabs of meat suit me very well. I think they're absolutely delicious, first of all, and they up my man factor by about 20. Plus, I need to put on those 15 pounds that I lost in Turkey.

I also ordered this meal in German, as I have every meal in German country. I've been using my German a lot here, and it is coming back very quickly. I am like a giddy little school boy after a successful conversation.
