Sitting in Switzerland

Today I took a picturesque ride from Milan, Italy to Lake Luzern, Switzerland. That is, from the land of spaghetti and meatballs to the land of the wiener. Some of the sites that I saw today were unbelievable. I felt like I had hopped into the Swiss Miss label and incorporated myself into the land of furry animals and crags. After spending three weeks in Italy, I have pasta coming out of my ears and a new love of raw meat. My last two lunches in Italy consisted of horse tartar (that's raw chopped horse meat) with some lemon, pepper, capers, and mustard and veal tartar with a shaved truffle on top (so expensive!!...but worth it). I felt like a big man and slightly like a canine, but I loved the flavor. I think I'll make it a habit. Right now, I'm sitting in a Korean hostel in the middle of the Swiss Alps. Lake Luzern, Switzerland, if you must know. It's time for bed. Gute Nacht...
